  • Our season starts January 1st and ends December 31. What will your membership in CHAL provide?

  • Participate in juried exhibits at the CHAW Gallery as well as other venues in the Metro area./
  • Provide an opportunity for our artists to show their art in non-juried shows at Frame of Mine, a Capitol Hill Framing Shop (https://www.frameofminedc.com/)
  • Encouragement for members who are emerging beginners or seasoned professionals.
  • Participation in a monthly “art challenge” for all our members. This fun “prompt” encourages our members to share up to two images each month on a specific subject. The images are then shared in social media and winning entries selected each month
  • Promote member artists and their work in CHAL’s social media.
  • A “Mind of the Artist” profile opportunity for members and showcase images of their art. The profile is shared on both the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop and Capitol Hill Art League websites.
  • Bi-monthly critique groups, one in person, one on zoom, at CHAW where members present their work to each other for feedback and support.
  • Connecting members at coffee gatherings and art pop-up opportunities throughout the year
