Where: The Hill Center 921 Pennsylvania Ave SE, Washington, DC 20003
This exhibit focuses on the beauty of trees which are celebrated annually during Cherry Blossom season. Artists from the DC metro area, VA and MD are invited to submit along with art images a short artist’s statement that includes identifying the tree that has inspired their work and/or any personal connection to it.
A maximum of 3 original works created within the past 3 years may be entered.
Works previously exhibited in a juried show at the Hill Center are not eligible.
Works may not exceed 72 inches in width, height or depth, including the frame, unless otherwise specified for a particular exhibit.
3-d work cannot be accepted
All work must be signed by the artist and all photographs and hand-pulled prints must be numbered.
All work must have D-Rings hanging on the Walker Hanging System, with d rings two inches down from the top of the artwork on each side for wiring. No exceptions please.

Call for Entries: December 7, 2018. Deadline for entries: Feb 1, 2019
Jury dates: Feb 4 or 5. Notify artists: Feb 6 or 7. Delivery of artwork: Sunday, March 3 from 12-3pm
Installation: Monday, March 4 from 8am-4pm. Reception: Wednesday March 13 6:30pm-8:30pm
Pick up of artwork: Monday, April 29 from 8am-11am
Cash awards: $500, $350, $250 Cherry Blossom Festival will be Thursday March 21 to Sunday April 14, 2019
