Bright Bold Big Art Exhibit September 2020- April 2021

16 artists of Capitol Hill Art League are featured in a curated, group mixed media display called Bright Bold Big. All artwork is for sale, please contact Capitol Hill Art League for purchase info.

Photographs, encaustics, watercolors, acrylic, and collage artwork will be displayed September and extended till April 2021 Exhibit manager/volunteer/artist: Ann Pickett.

September Making New Connections Frame of Mine Live exhibit

Making New Connections Art Show is our first, (unjuried), group exhibit for NEW members who have joined CHAL since Jan. 2020

Where: Frame of Mine Gallery 545 8th St NE, DC

Exhibit Runs- September 8- October 3, 2020

Groups of 4-5 people at a time in the gallery are allowed, masks are required. Hand sanitizer will be stationed throughout. 

NOTE: There will be a 20% discount given on custom framing from anything purchased in the gallery CHAL exhibit.

Our exhibit features the following new members in various art mediums, acrylic painting, oil painting, pastels, encaustics, watercolor, archival inks, and photography: Mary E. Gosselink, Lori Niland Rounds, Martina Sestakova, Sarah Burford, Steve Kunin, Anne Albright, E. Bright Bold Big Art Exhibit September-October 2020

Members of Capitol Hill Art League are invited to submit ready to hang artwork to be considered for public display in a busy medical office in Chevy Chase, MD. All sizes are acceptable with weight under 50 lbs. Artwork must be for sale/all potential buyers will be given contact info for each artist.  Sales will be conducted between the artist and buyer.  Artwork can be bought and removed from the walls if the artist agrees. The office will retain a list of prices/artist contact info of the artwork on display.

Entry OPENS: Wednesday July 22 at 5pm. 1-5 entries for 2-D artwork only, 3-D not accepted for this show. Fees: $5 per entry – 5 entries maximum. 

Deadline for entries: July 29! Accepted artwork must be hand delivered by the artist, ready to hang to the Chevy Chase office at the pre-arranged, designated date and time. Address will be supplied. Exhibit runs: September-October. Artists will be notified with all details for drop off and pick up of artwork.

Please use insurance for your artwork if that is a consideration. CHAL will not be held responsible for artwork on display. 

Making New Connections Art Show

Our new live gallery exhibit is dedicated to new members who joined our art league since January 2020. We invited our newest artists to display their art work at Frame of Mine Gallery, viewable from outside or INSIDE the shop! This talented bunch exhibits photographs, collage, watercolors, yupo paintings, acrylics, charcoal, and more and everything is for sale! Featured Artists: Anne Albright, E. Lynn Coates, Ellen Yahuda, Jeffery Miller, KB Kessler, Kim DiDonato-Murrell, Lori Niland Rounds, Martina Sestakova, Mary Elizabeth Gosselink, Nan Raphael, Sarah Burford, Louise Holland, and Steve Kunin.

Members voted for their favorite artwork in this show and the top vote went to Louise Holland for her Georgetown photograph. Louise receives a $25 gift certificate from Plaza Arts in DC.
